It has been a crazy busy weekend, but I have been able to get my craft on. I feel kinda backed up when i don't get to do anything creative for a while. But then, I always have "crafters guilt" whenever I want to do something fun and the house is a mess. I'm not a neat crafter either, so I tend to just make things worse. Anyway, I HAD to do some crafts this weekend for two darling friends who are having babies in the next month and a half. They each got a nursing cover, with a little ruffle on the bottom. I was able to get a picture of one but the other had to get finished and wrapped up in a hurry.I also had the opportunity to try out a new cake. I got the inspration from Martha Stewart the other day. Martha saw it here. I used boxed cake (gasp) and then used cream cheese frosting between the layers. Then, just to add something a little extra, I added white chocolate chips. I think it turned out pretty well. Even though I'm not a huge fan of cake.
I know the outside isn't that pretty. But I learned a lot. I was really practicing for my mother-in-law's b-day in August.
