It has been a crazy busy weekend, but I have been able to get my craft on. I feel kinda backed up when i don't get to do anything creative for a while. But then, I always have "crafters guilt" whenever I want to do something fun and the house is a mess. I'm not a neat crafter either, so I tend to just make things worse. Anyway, I HAD to do some crafts this weekend for two darling friends who are having babies in the next month and a half. They each got a nursing cover, with a little ruffle on the bottom. I was able to get a picture of one but the other had to get finished and wrapped up in a hurry.I also had the opportunity to try out a new cake. I got the inspration from Martha Stewart the other day. Martha saw it here. I used boxed cake (gasp) and then used cream cheese frosting between the layers. Then, just to add something a little extra, I added white chocolate chips. I think it turned out pretty well. Even though I'm not a huge fan of cake.
I know the outside isn't that pretty. But I learned a lot. I was really practicing for my mother-in-law's b-day in August.

Dining Room Overhaul
I don't know why I can't just ask for a regular old birthday present. I force my whole family to spend the week installing flooring in my dining room. It sure looks pretty though! Hubby is out right now picking up the finishing touches. So hopefully soon I can get an "after" shot. For now I'll just post the "before" and "during".
Starting the Underlayment
My mom was a huge help!
My brother Johnathan. He really enjoyed the saw. Which was awesome because I don't :)
My youngest brother, Trey(7). He thought it was a playground.
Even Owen helped. He's supervising Daddy. Thank you, Jesus, for such a laid back baby!
